STRIKE-UP THE BAND... NORTH HILLS HIGH SCHOOL TO FORM ALUMNI MARCHING BAND!!!

On a totally positive note, North Hills High School recently announced plans to form a first-ever North Hills Alumni Marching Band. If you were a NHHS band member, played an instrument, were a baton twirling majorette, or flagliner, they're looking for you. You can also assist in this activity by spreading the word of the good news along to former classmates, family, friends and neighbors.

The initial plan is to get the announcement of this information out to the alumni, and to locate, and offer the opportunity to participate to as many former NH band members as possible. Areta Kalogeras, the North Hills Marching Band Director, is coordinating this activity and the organization of the band.

The ultimate goal is to have the NH Alumni Band perform at the Annual Marching Band Festival on Saturday, September 22, 2007, as part of the festival activities.

If you are interested in digging out that dusty old instrument, baton, or flag, and learning more about the project and how to join, please contact Areta at 412-318-1000 Ext #4017, or through email - kalogerasa@nhsd.net .

Additional information will also be available and posted on the North Hills School District website www.nhsd.k12.pa.us. Simply go to that website and click onto the ALUMNI tab for the latest of updated Alumni Band information. Thanks for spreading the word and hope to see you playing, twirling, and/or waving while marching into the Fall!!!!!!
