IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME BUT SOMETIMES NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS!!!

WE'RE BAAAAACK!!!!!

Sometimes NO news is GOOD news!  But it is rather earth-shattering to report that it's been 881 days since our last update to this class news page.  The positive side to that statement is of particular note, because we've had very, very few deaths to report.  We do have another milestone reunion on the books for 2015, which we reported over the wires to those of you who have emails.  So stay tuned as there's a lot more to come on our 4-day 55th class reunion in the very near future.

Sadly we must address the few downsides:

KAREN HIGGINS (Hamlin)... Just last week (October 30, 2014) we lost Karen, who lived in Albany, Ohio.  Husband Stephan reported she lost her battle with cancer and passed away with family by her side.  You'll remember Karen as one of the "nicest of nicest" classmates in our class.  She was a yearly Student Council representative and belonged to a number of other clubs at NHHS including, French, Latin, Pep and Y-Teen clubs.  Karen spent her career as an elementary teacher in New Athens, OH.  She is survived by her husband, two daughters (families) and several grandchildren...

PAUL RITTLE... NHHS60 news received information recently from Paul's relatives that he passed away in January of 2014.  No further information is available and we were unable to locate a death notice at this time...

VIRGINIA "COOKIE" DENZER (Hood)... Jan Straganivicz informed us of Virginia's death some time ago.  At the time of her passing Virginia was living in Mt. Pleasant, PA and had been retired from a secretarial career...

The recent passing of Karen Higgins brings our list of MEMORIAMS to 56.  With 360 members in our class, 56 represents a loss of 15%.

NOTES:  Now that Cliffy and I are REWIRED, please feel free to pass on whatever, GOOD (hopefully), BAD (hopefully NOT) or INDIFFERENT (we'll try to print it) information you may wish to share with your classmates regarding YOU, YOUR FAMILY, KIDS OR G-KIDS and we'll do our best to pass it on and keep up with the flow!!!!
